Nikolay, a young farm worker, is seen as different by other village people. He doesn't drink vodka and seems a bit odd. Dairymaid Nastya is unaware of this and falls in love with Nikolay for his kindness, intelligence, and uniqueness. When journalists come to the farm to feature Nikolay in a report, Nastya will finally discover his secret.
